Bilapkeshwara Temple

This ancient temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is a typical example of Gurjara-Chalukyan style of architecture. It depicts the history, heritage and culture of the 11th century. The famous and beautiful temple is consisting of three major sections; Garbhagriha , Antarala and Mahamandapa. Like all other Chalukya style architecture this temple also has east facing section. This contemporary temple is famous for its historical importance and cultural value. Tourists visiting Ratlam must not miss any chance to visit this popular temple. This temple is also known as Veerupaksh Mahadev Temple and is situated 18 Km South-West of Ratlam and can be reached easily by road. You can board a bus or hire an auto to reach this religious place in Ratlam. You can also visit Shani Temple, Yasasiya Temple and Shri Maat Mandir while traveling to Ratlam

Gadankhai Mata Mandir

Temples in RatlamGadankhai Mata Mandir is one of very popular temple in Ratlam. It is the religious hub for the locals. The temple is small in size but beautifully managed and maintained. The charisma of the temple can be felt from the pretty interiors. The glazing appearance of the temple adds charm to the eyes. The beauty of the idol is equally fascinating. The temple is serving as a spot for religious activities from past. Many newly wed couple visit the temple to seek the blessings from the holy deity. Famous rituals like ‘Mundan’, shavings of head for children are carried out here. This famous temple is at around 30 km from Ratlam and can be reached easily by bus.

You can also visit famous Jangalshar Mahakal Mandir, Middle Talab Mandir and Kali Mata Mandir located at a recahable distance from Gadankhai Mata Mandir.

Kedareshwar Temple

The Kedareshwar Temple is a fascinating and ancient temple situated at around 4 Km from famous Sailana Palace, Ratlam. This is another example of excellent dexterity and architecture. This a dedicated Shiva Temple carved out of a huge single cliff of igneous rock. The temple is a man made cave carved out of a cliff of of igneous rock. The beauty of the temple is a small stream which is situated at the top peak of the rock. However the stream is evident in the rainy seasons. The stream closes at a small pond nearby. Kedareshwar Temple is visited by many tourists. Although the main attraction of the place is as a devotional place, but many prefer it as a picnic spot too.

The temple is close to Ratlam city and at about 4 km from the famous Sailana Palace. It can be reached easily by road transport within one hour of time. While visiting this temple one should also visit nearby Mahalaxmi Temple and Shri Shantinath Digember Jain Temple while visiting the temple.

Shiva Temple

Shiva Temple is considered as one of the most popular and visited pilgrimage of Madhya Pradesh. This temple is situated in the Jhar Village near Ratlam. This temple carries the message of efficiency in architecture and sculptures of 11th century. Standing the test of time, the temple still has many well preserved beautiful sculptures. The beauty of these sculptures has earned the admiration of the distant tourist and visitors who often got appalled by witnessing the ornately carved sculptre at the temple . The temple consists of huge Shiva Lingam which one of the tallest Lingams in India with Lord Nandi alongside.

Natural hot springs around the temple is equally enthralling and fascinating. A celebration in Shivratri is one of the major attractions of this temple. Many devote throng in awake of this holy festival.It is around 12km from Ratlam city and is situated in Jhar Village. The temple can be reached by road within one hour. Hanuman Temple, Nageshwara Temple and Sagod Jain Temple can also be visited during the trip to Jhar in Ratlam.
